I read an article today in Condé Nast about how traveling makes you more happy and popular even.  I couldn’t agree more, about the happier part at least.  I don’t have a flatscreen TV or anything really high tech and fancy in my home, mostly because for the last 10 years I’ve spent most of my money on travel.  I believe nothing makes you richer than getting out there and seeing all the world has to offer.   With LivetheTour.com I can now help others grow richer in their travel experiences.  Miami, as we all know, is a huge tourist destination, but what many don’t know is that there is so much more to see here than meets the eye.

You see many travelers come to this town and do the typical tourist stuff, like see the celebrity homes on the bay or go out to the Everglades, we offer those too.  Except what I see most visitors doing is hopping on a boat or a bus with 50 other people to do it.  That’s not what we do!  We at LivetheTour.com are here to not only give you the option to see celebrity homes or the Everglades but to see them in a much more fun and off the beaten path sort of way.  Sure jet ski’s and powerboats may not sound too off the beaten path but compared to the packed tourist boats lugging around 100 people or so, they are.

Why do people option for the larger group tours?  Many reasons I suppose; cost, comfort with the familiar, not knowing other options are available, these could be a few reasons.  But what many don’t know is that the cost to do something a little different in touring, like take a kayak out into the bay for 2 hours, will be so much more enriching then a 45 minute ride on a narrated boat where you’re peaking over others heads to catch a glimpse of so and so’s celebrity’s house.   Sure it may cost a little more but when you really look at the numbers, it isn’t too much more, especially with the personal experience you are left with, those can be priceless moments.

So everyday I sit here happy that I have had the privilege to experience some very memorable travel moments.  From riding a snow mobile to the top of a volcano in Iceland or chatting with Simon, who sold jewelry on the beaches of Kenya, about his native tribe, to taking a sleigh ride through the Rockies in Aspen with a million stars looking over me. If I didn’t seek those options in travel, I would have never had them.
